Grey Squirrel

Sciurus carolinensis

OK, we all know that they are an evil introduced species and that they've largely displaced the native Red Squirrel, and that they wreck bird feeders and are a serious forest pest in places, but for alot of us that have Grey Squirrels visiting our gardens they are still welcome and often entertaining little blighters!

This little chap has been a regular visitor to my parents bird table and has already chewed his way through one of their nut feeders (sounds like it's time for squirrel proof technology).
