MARAUDER 46
The Marauder was the first yacht designed by the JCL team and used groundbreaking techniques to reduce weight and improve performance, improve insulation from sound and vibrations, and lower production costs/time.
The first prototype was made in wood by Porter & Haylett of Coltishall in Norfolk.
this was used to test the principle design at sea and determine the arrangement of the interior.
Once the design had been approved, the moulding of the first one piece GRP injected hull was started, the hull thus formed was the largest ever one piece injection moulding at the time! (this process is covered in the Technocraft pages).
