25.5 Grams, 13" wingspan, based on plans from the August 2002 Model Flyer.
Single LiPoly cells from Grahams site http://www.indoor.flyer.co.uk
Geared KP00 (type 1), U80 prop (Flitehook)
It uses the Potensky receiver modified to drive coils I had to add a 5V dc-dc to cure interference.
It flew fairly well at the November Aeronutz meeting but was a little hard to handle. I put this down to loosing 3 of the wings during initial test flights and then doing an 'in the field' repair which lost most of the dihedral. It was also a bit tail heavy. I've but back some of dihedral (on the top wing only!) and moved all the electronics into the nose ready for the next meeting.

Aeronutz style actuator on elevator
It uses a 'proper' actuator fitted in the fuselage with a music wire linkage.

This is made of a 3mm strip of card soaked in cyno and wrapped round the magnet. two .5mm pins are the drilled into it and the all thing mounted on a piece of brass shim. The coil then goes round the final assembly.
