21/09/08 Poynton A versus Signol Athletic

A brighter day the sun was shining and the pitch looking good, both teams managing to field eleven players each.
Poynton were out of the blocks the quicker, immediately stretching the Signol defence, Olly finds Rob Hannan in space who finishes well 1-nil to Poynton.
Within minutes a similar ball this time finds Rob Potter and its soon 2-0. Signol are working hard, Poynton defence dealing with anything Signol throw at them.
Humez finds Rob Potter down the right who cuts inside to finish 3-nil.
A great move from Alex & Ryan down the left releases Rob Hannan who makes it 4-nil with a great lob.
The second half started tight with Signol digging in but they were pegged back again, a ball touch inside from Alex to Craig, Craig then sews up goal of the season with a 40 yard top corner screamer, what a strike.
Ryan then releases Rob Potter to make it 6-nil, followed shortly after by Rob Hannan making it 7-nil from the scramble following a corner. Again a game played in good spirits and a credit to both teams.
