Portraits are painted from photographs (usually provided by the customer but I will take photos for people who live locally).<P/> <P>I find painting pets very rewarding, as they are very diverse and full of character. The wide range of colours, shapes, sizes and personalities make them a very challenging but rewarding subject to capture.</P> <P>I paint pet portraits in a direct style, which gives life and character to the finished portrait. I am prepared to paint any animal from dogs, cats, rabbits to fish or reptiles (no subject too large or too small).</P> <a><IMG SRC="pet gallery/old english sheep dog 200150.jpg" BORDER="0" ALT="old english sheep dog 200150" ALIGN="right" hspace="30" vspace="5"></a><P>For a fee of Ł79(UK Pounds) you will get a 16" x 12"(406mm x 305mm) original oil portrait, painted on stretched canvas . If you know the location where it is to be hung then I can adapt the background colour to suit. Paintings will take approximately two or three weeks to complete after it is started. If you require a work of art for a particular occasion then the more notice the better. A delivery time will be discussed at the time of order. The best photos to use are taken at eye level to your pet (not stood above looking down). Also close up filling most of the frame (or closer i.e. a head shot). If the photo is good but does not quite show an important feature of your pet then include a note so that I can make adjustments. If in doubt send the photos and we can discuss them. Any photos sent will be carefully looked after and returned.
