General Notes: We know Frank was in the Royal marines, as a career soldier but also during the period of WW1. Noted events in his life were: • Residence: 60 Mayall Raod, 1891, Brixton, London. • Residence: Eastney Barraks, 1901, Portsmouth, Hampshire. • Occupation: Gunner, RMA (Royal Marine Artillery), 1901, Southampton, Hampshire. • Occupation: Bombardier, RMA, 26 Jan 1907, Eastney, Hants. Shown on Jessies Birth Certificate • Occupation: Pensioner, 17 Aug 1929. Shown on Jessie's marriage certificate (when he was aged 50). Frank married Jessie Matthews, daughter of Harry Matthews and Christina Unknown, in 1906 in Chelmsford, Essex.1 (Jessie Matthews was born in 1891 in Eastney, Hants and died on 18 Jan 1907.) The cause of her death was Died in child birth. Frank next married Emily Inwood, daughter of Unknown and Unknown, in 1910.1 2 |
