Frequently asked questions

Q: I would like to work at Wimbledon. How do I apply?
A: It is necessary to apply directly to The All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club, Church Road, Wimbledon, London SW19 5AE.

Q: How do I find coaching opportunities for women?
A: The Coaching Department at The Lawn Tennis Association based at The Queen’s Club, West Kensington, London W14 9EQ provides information about opportunities in coaching, but of course they have to give equal opportunities to both men and women.  BWTA is currently looking into ways of how opportunities specifically for women can best be publicised, and will update its conclusions on this site in due course.

Q: Where do I find biographies of former British women players?
A:
In response BWTA is developing a page on former players - see the "Over the net" section of this site

Q: How do I find information on universities, which would enable me to continue playing tennis whilst studying?
A: There is information about American universities in the “Over the net” section of this web site.  The Information Department at The Lawn Tennis Association has literature in connection with “tennis friendly” universities in the UK, plus universities which offer tennis scholarships.

Now it is BWTA’s turn to ask a question

In order to maintain and increase our tournament programme, we are always looking for additional sponsors.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Does anyone have a contact, who might be interested in discussing a sponsorship – however large or small?
