Biography
Andrew Jones was born in Kent, England in 1977. He was a chorister at The Queen's Chapel of the Savoy, and educated at St. Olave's Grammar School. He studied piano, 'cello and organ at the Junior Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Whilst still at school, Andrew was Organist and Choirmaster at St George's RAF Chapel, Biggin Hill. Later, Andrew was Organ Scholar at Jesus College, Oxford University where he read for a degree in music, and was also Organist of Worcester College. Since leaving University, Andrew has continued to combine an active musical life with his work as a Senior Project Manager for a software localization company. On the musical side, Andrew has in recent years held posts as Chapel Organist at Edge Grove School, Organist and Choirmaster at St Mary's Parish Church, Hemel Hempstead, and Organist of Wesley's Chapel, in addition to forming and directing his own London-based chamber choir, the Praetorius Choir. After a spell based in Vienna, Austria, Andrew was appointed Director of Music at Holy Trinity Church, Stratford-upon-Avon in February 2006.
