Curly Hair Tarantula - Brachypelma Albopilosum - A docile new world species. These tend not to bite but will flick urticating hairs if provoked. We have had this female for several years and recently introduced a male which appeared to mate succesfully.
Red Rump Tarantula--Brachypelma Vagans--Another new world species, not quite as docile as the curly hair. Pictured is a male, We also have two females both of which have been mated.
Red Knee Tarantula - Brachypelma Smithii - The best known of all the tarantulas. Originates from Mexico, another docile species but can be hair flickers.
White Knee Tarantula - Acanthoscurria Geniculata. These are one of our most aggressive tarantulas and will happily try and bite anything that they conceive as a threat. At the moment we have a sub adult male and two unsexed sub adults so fingers crossed.
Pink Toed Tarantulas - Avicularia Species - Sometimes known as birdeaters, we have several species of these, (click here) the picture shown is of a sub adult female, but we are not positive of the subspecies ?metallica - Any advice appreciated please email.
Brazilian Black Tarantula - Gramastola Pulchra - Docile easy to keep species--We have two unsexed juveniles of these.
- Lasiodora Cristata--The picture shown is of one of our males who recently passed away, we have several more juveniles which are being raised at present. Unsure of common name for this species.
Salmon Pink Tarantula - Lasiodora Parahybana--The second largest tarantula in the world. Mildly aggressive but a good show tarantula as they don't bother hiding from view. We have two of these an adult female and a recently matured male.
Starburst Baboon Tarantula - Pterinochilus Murinus - An extremely aggressive African tarantula - Doesn't posses urticating hairs but makes up for it by biting first and asking questions later. We currently have 5 sub adults of these which breed easily.
Mustard Baboon Tarantula - Pterinochilus Chordatus - Another aggressive African Tarantula. Pictured in a typical threat pose.
