In the modifier panel there are functions to edit each branch in its sub-object modes. These are imposters, imposter verts, spline knots, profiles and patch knots.
Initially a branch has no sub-objects imposters, but you can create as many planes as you wish to represent the geometry.
Sub-object imposter vert, allows you to transform the imposters verts to create a shape that best approximates the geometry.
Sub-object spline allows you to change the path of the branch, and operations exist to refine or delete points.
Sub-object profile allows you to select, scale and rotate profiles, however these operation only work locally along the branch axis. Operations also allow you to blend between two profiles, reset a profile to a circle, or copy and paste from one to another.
Sub-object vertex allows for patch point editing or refining. Patch handles are not available for editing as they are controlled internally.
