Models
I undercoated these in Chaos Black then painted the cloths in Bestial Brown, the skin in Snot Green, the gun bits in Boltgun Metal, the eyes and shoulder pads in Blood Red. I painted more infantry then pictured here but I used a combination of Blood Red, Chaos Black and Badmoon Yellow on the shoulder pads and round bit on their back to distinguish between different formations.
Base
The base is first painted with Graveyard Earth. Then I applied a coat of watered down PVA glue and then poured sand onto them. Once that had dried I applied another coat of watered down PVA to fix the sand. The trick is to find the right colour of sand and then get lots of it so you never run out.
