The weekend from 16th to 18th of July saw Baroquon, a convention organised by the British Roleplaying Society at New Hall, Cambridge.
It was lots of fun with a wide variety of
tabletop RPGs, LRPs (without rubber swords), demos and playtests
of various systems, and Panels with discussions of various topics
related to our hobby.
Guests of Honor included James Wallis, game designer and director
of Hogshead Publishing and Colin Greenland, local SF author.
Here are some of the photos I took. There are lots more of individual groups, and especially of the fight school. If you're interested, mail me, but only until the 13th of August. I will be gone after that for about half a year on a job-related trip to Japan.
The committee are deciding what to do
Various groups: StarWreck: The nth Generation, Everway, Ars Magica, Equilibrium Games *known for West Point Academy and Visions, here a group of German soldiers in WWI, Jaine Weddell's LRP (YES! The bastard is dead [evil grin]), RoboRally, a tight corner in Formule De, Grunts (tabletop wargame)
Panels: Have I Got Rules for You
Guests: James Wallis at his best, Colin Greenland's promise
The Fight School: 01, preparations, he's dead, 03, a three-point fight, the famous buttstroke, he's dead again.
Thanks again to everyone at one of the best conventions I've ever been to. Looking forward to the next one.
