Equipment

NIKON F70

The equipment I use is a NIKON F70 with a Sigma 28/200mmD Aspherical Zoom lens. This camera was first introduced in 1994 as a smaller cousin to the professional F90 model. It is smaller and lighter than this camera but shares a lot of its features. It has, among other things, locking autofocus, a large LCD display panel, Autofocus with manual override, 3D Advanced Matrix Metering with Distance Data Detection, and a popup Speedlight.
Many people dislike this camera as it is perceived to have a difficult control system operated with two function buttons and a dial. However once you are used to it it is easy to use and gives excellent results.
I also use a pair of manual 100mm and 28mm NIKON E series lenses, a NIKON SB-18 Speedlight and a Miranda Tripod, and recently I acquired an antique Agfa Issolette 2 medium format camera.
For black and white photography I use Jessop 100 or 400 iso film and for colour Fujifilm or Kodak colour negative or slide film.
