An Interview with Ken Evoy,      web marketing genius 

"If I can do it, so can you!"
Ken Evoy is author of "Make Your Site Sell!", the web marketing best-seller that has taken the Internet by storm, selling over 60,000 copies in its first few months. Alison Thompson of The MoneySpinner, caught up with him recently.

AT: Hi Ken, I'd just like to thank you very much for
taking the time to speak with me, and welcome you to the home of The MoneySpinner. 

KE: Thanks, Alison, it's a pleasure to be here. 

AT: Right, first off I was wondering what gave you the inspiration to write "Make Your Site Sell!"? 

KE: I kind of "fell" into the Internet by accident. I created some software for an investing hobby of mine, and thought "Hey, other people could use this too!" The problem was, how to market it? I thought it would be near impossible to sell, yet after two years' "trial and error"  I hit on a formula that worked. That software is still earning me thousands of dollars a day even now! 

AT: And this was a "near impossible to sell" product? 

KE: So I thought! It had everything going against it - it was expensive, a real niche product, and I couldn't even offer a free trial! What's more, I was a
complete unknown in the investing world! Yet I managed to sell it! So I thought, this same formula can surely be used by anyone, anywhere, to sell anything on theWeb.

AT: So you wrote "Make Your Site Sell!" 

KE: Yeah, I wanted other people to benefit from what I had learned over the two years. I have always thrived on teaching people. I started as a doctor and trained medical students before making my fortune in the toy industry. I also coached a baseball team and a golf pro more as a hobby than anything, so writing "Make Your Site Sell" was really just a continuation of my wish to teach! From the start I was determined to offer a complete package and not just a series of quick tips, and the result was "Make Your Site Sell!" 

AT: What kind of information is there in the book?

KE: Everything you could possibly need to run a successful web business, that's what! I aimed not not just to deliver the goods but to overdeliver - just visit my site and check out the Table of Contents to see what I mean! Whatever you want to sell on the Internet (and I can guarantee you that nothing is as hard to sell as my investing product!) you can do it with "Make Your Site Sell!" And this is just the start of it - we plan to bring out more books in the "Make Your ...!" series, and develop e-Biz tools, server solutions - everything the budding Internet entrepreneur could use. Watch this space! 

AT: It sounds like there are exciting times ahead for you. 

KE: There sure are, but not just for me. The mainstay of our business is our Five Pillar Affiliate Program. AT: It sounds great, Ken. Before we have to end, is there any advice you could offer our readers to help them be successful in their chosen enterprise? 

KE: Of course. Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence and perseverance. Successful people only become successful by never giving up, so don't quit, ever. If one project fails, try another, and another. Be creative, work hard and be consistent for as long as it takes to succeed. Keep trying until you open the right door. You only fail if you stop trying.
