Why Should you Sponsor Me?
There are many reasons why sponsorship of a Saloon Stock Car driver could work for you. Some of these are:
1. The exposure at meetings.
2. The exposure in the press.
3. Exposure on the internet.
4. Exposure everyday, away from meetings.
I race at approximately 20 race meetings during the year, at venues throughout the country.
Exposure at race meetings. Stock car racing is unique in the fact that the paying public are always only a few feet away from the racing. This also means that they will always be able to read your advert on the side of the car. The public are encouraged to mingle with the cars and drivers in the pit area increasing the exposure of any sponsorship. Quite often, sponsors are mentioned on the public address system, and in raceday programmes. Meetings are almost, always video recorded, for release to a wider audiance. A driver doesn't have to win to get exposure. Quite often, a spectacular crash or racing incident, which are all part of stock car racing, will be noted by the commentator, and recorded in the racing press. The crowds that attend stock car meetings are very mixed indeed. They vary from the young speed enthusiast, to the everyday family, comprising of several generations. Therefore, you don't have to run an automtive buisness to take advantage of advertising on a stock car.
Exposure in the press. There are several publications in which Saloon Stock Cars feature on a regular basis, ranging from the very professional in-house magazine (Unloaded 7.3),
to a national weekly newspaper (Motoring News). The Championship meetings are of special interest, often getting a full write up before and after the event, and the World Ranking system gives an immediate
recognition of a driver's standing.
In addition to the specialist motorsport press, local newspapers are always intersted in running articles, especially when big meetings are looming.
Exposure on the internet. There is a very healthy interest in stock car racing on the internet with my website being just one of many oval racing sites. Most sites link to each other and my site is listed on all the main ones, some of which enjoy thousands of hits a week. My site is also listed on the 10tenths, motor racing search engine.
Anyone who sponsors me will be able to have advertisments on my site at no extra cost, and will be mentioned in any internet press release, and e-mails, as I'm also a member of several motor racing "chat rooms".
Exposure every day, away from meetings. Sponsorship could also mean advertising space on the side of the sevice barge, which is on the road every day of the week. In fact, it spends about 1.5 hours on the M3 and M25 motorways each day, which gives you , as a sponsor, a very large audience away from stock car meetings. A simple logo on the back could be a very simple way of getting your company name into the thoughts of many potential customers.
Sponsorship Packages.
There is no limit of how big or small your contribution can be. Any help, whether it be financial, help with the supply of products I use for racing, or the supply of a service, is much appreciated, and will be suitably rewarded with advertising space on the race car, van and website. This year I intend investing in a second car for tarmac surfaces, leaving the current one for shale surfaces, so there is no shortage of scope for prospective sponsors.
