William & Glynn's bank can be seen to the left of the Post office
and of course the shops in the distance,the bank today is RBS and John Williams
Supermarket now a Blockbusters video shop.

these last two were taken around 1972 the newsagents had been there
since the 40s. Hugh Fay's was once Mayes the grocers to its left was once
the ONLY JONES Barber shop.
