Al, belle vue dog track in the 1930s the greyhounds parading before a race.The stand behind I assume was the one running alongside Kirkmanshulme lane, it would be great to see some photo's of the stadium from the sixties and early seventies when I used to go there,during the mid seventies up to the late eighties Margaret my wife worked there on the tote,before then I used to bet on the last race whenever we were drinking in the LAKE HOTEL it was funny because about five or six of us used to disappear from Macs music hall leaving our girlfriend or wife to have a bet and if any of us weren't back at our table the same time as the others we had probably picked up a few bob sometimes paying for the night out,can anyone remember the compere Vic Hollbrook? we do he was our neighbour in Davids road in Droylsden what a great character he sadly he passed away some years ago in the late eighties I think but they were happy days win or lose at the dogs!
