THIS IS FILDES STREET NEWTON HEATH NOW DEMOLISHED. AT THE TOP OF THE STREET YOU CAN JUST SEE DROYLESDEN RD, WE ARE FACING THE REAR OF THE FRIENDSHIP PUB, WHERE NOW STANDS THE NEWTON HEATH WORKING MENS CLUB. I AM THE 2ND FROM THE LEFT, THEN MY SISTER JANICE. OTHERS ON HERE ARE JENNY RICHARDSON, EVELYN, SUSAN, AND BARRY JACKSON, CLIFFORD, VALERIE AND TRICIA SMITH. THE REST I DONT RECALL. IT WAS TAKEN APPROX 1960 MAYBE EARLIAR. IT MUST HAVE BEEN A WHIT MONDAY AS WE ARE ALL DRESSED UP AND READY TO GO WALKING WITH NEWTON HEATH RAGGED SCHOOL, WHERE WE ALL ATTENDED SUNDAY SCHOOL. WHICH WAS ON QUEEN ST WHICH BECAME QUEENSFERRY ST, NOW PART DEMOLISHED. NONE OF THESE HOUSES HAD A INSIDE TOILET AND A BATHROOM WAS UNHEARD OF, UNLESS WE WENT TO OUR NANAS. REGARDS LYNNE
