Christ Church School, Harpurhey, Manchester
This is a photo of my school Christ Church in Harpurhey, this school's
playground acted as a shelter during the war. The school was square shape
U with the main halls on Plato St and the class rooms facing Burgess St our
house was next door to the school.
I was nearly always late my sister was always early she was the Head-Prefect
and a very clever girl (High School).
The teachers I remember are Mr Sawton (Headmaster), Mr Ernshawe, Mr Gregory,
Mr Sloan, Mr Mackie, Miss Fieldhouse (all the lads had a crush on her ) and
Miss Saunders.
