Ravensbury School, Re-union 2002.
On the photograph (below) I was holding a photo of our class from
about 1948 and the man standing next to me is called John Brown nick named
Brownie and he was the same little lad standing next to me all them years
ago. Can you believe that span of over 50 years. The two ladies are twins
Dorothy and Irene Pickerel as they were then. Irene came over from the states
for the re-union. As children they lived in the same street as I did so it
was a brilliant re-union that we had. My husband Reg Parsonage is standing
in the middle of them.
On the second photograph (below) I am standing with Edward Mellor
he is the well known Estate Agent so the boy did well. We all played to-ether
as children Also on the photograph is little Ronnie Watson I think he helped
to organize the re-union but can not be certain. Meeting all my school friends
that day was a fantastic time but tinged with a little sadness as I believe
they were going to pull the school down.
