Railway Hotel Hollinwood, failsworth.
This pub was built in 1890 and due to redevelopment of the area it closes on Dec 17th 2004, (There has been stay of execution and is now not closing for the foreseeable future.) for the last decade my wife and I have enjoyed many a saturday night taking part in music quizes mainly from the fifties and sixties.The resident DJ is Derek Grundy and when he was away Alan Hendersen held the fort,sadly a few weeks ago Alan passed away, the pub is run by Bernard and Malcolm (see photos of Malcom's Father at the Old 21 SIGS MATES Reunion....?) and like every else in life, all good things come to an end.
