Western Section Newsletter January - February

As you will see from the final points listed below, Paul Kocher won the Wild West Hero and Christine Wiech won the Best Lady attendance trophies. Well done and congratulations to both of you.

Congratulations also to Angela for all of her efforts in promoting Sustrans Connect 2, which this week was chosen as the project to receive £50 million National Lottery funding.

I think that everyone there would agree that our Christmas lunch at The Plough, Leverstock Green was a great success. Although the number was down compared to previous years, we had 20 members at the lunch, which is still good for a Section Christmas lunch. Thanks again to Pat for all of the excellent work she did in organising the event.

2008 is the 80th anniversary of the CTC in Hertfordshire and it is planned to hold some special events to mark the occasion. Please let me know if you have any suggestions for special events that we could share with the other sections in Hertfordshire.
