Live for to-day,   tomorrow may be too late

OUR TRAVELS 2007

May 2007 we  spent 12 days in eastern Europe with 3 days in Prague,

3 days in Budapest  and 3 days in Vienna  with overnight  stops in        Belgium,  going out and coming back.

Anyone who has visited Bratislava “Capital city of Slovakia”  will have seen many of the amusing statues around the streets, shown is a chap who appears to be coming out of the drain.

The parliament buildings fronting on the river Danube are in Budapest,   capitol of Hungary the picture was taken from on board a pleasure cruiser

Vienna is the Austrian capital city

Picture is of  the Schonbrunn Palace and is the view one gets as one enters the gates. This was the seat of the Habsburg monarchy until the end of world war 1 in 1918.

The modern glass building  has the nearby cathedral reflected in its windows, this I thought connected the old and new together nicely.

Prague is the capital city of the Czech Republic. Pictures on this page are typical of many of the building in the city`s

The one with all the candelabras is in a coffee house in Prague, one would expect prices to be high in a pace like this, but they are very  reasonable.
