OUR TRAVELS 2006
July 2006 we were mobile again and had a few days based in Ostend with visits to Dunkirk, De Pane and Sluis.
After both having been laid up for six months, it was good to be out again.
The temp.got to 40c. too hot for most, the watering holes did a brisk trade though.
There was a big firework display on the beach on our first night. How did they know we would be there?
November 2006 we sailed from Hull to spend a short while in Amsterdam.
We took in a trip on the canal boats and visited the areas for that Amsterdam is ”famous” for.
Never seen so many cycles, there was even multistory parks just for cycles.
As you can see from the pictures ,there is water everywhere,
I wonder if they have hose pipe bans like we do in hot weather
