Live for to-day,   tomorrow may be too late

February  2005   we spent a week  with friends from Sunderland staying in the North of Scotland.

We saw lots of snow on  the mountain tops but we had sunshine all week.

We were  lucky  to see thousands of deer that had to come to lower levels to feed.

August  2005    we went on a mini cruise

from  Harwich  to  board the ship for an 18 hour sail to Cuxhaven  with two days in  Hamburg  and one day in Bremanhaven,  then return to Cuxhaven for the sail back to Harwich.             In Bremenhaven there was several tall ships moored  ready for a gathering later in the month.

September 2005  we spent  a week in Austria,

Taking in the stunning views with visits to  the Krimml waterfalls ,Pertisau on the side of Lake Achensee.  Innsbruch and other places too numerous to mention.             There are flowers everywhere.

Early  Dec...2005  .      we went  to the German Christmas markets in Cologne and Rhudesheim.   In Cologne they were in 6 different parts of the city,     Rhudesheim  the whole town is one huge market.   Anyone visiting these markets  must try the garlic mushrooms.

 And a special  local coffee made with Asbach  brandy ,a large block of cream and chocolate.
