obby with the brillo pad hairstyle was the most introverted of The Doors but was still responsible for some of their finest tunes ( my faves are "Love her madly" and "Wishful sinful"-Alex-Nobody gives a toss what you think this is my bit so piss off-ED). Still waiting to hear his side of the story, we`ve had Ray`s mystical version and John`s emotional version maybe it`s time for Robby Kriegers laid back overview of what it was like to be a Door. ( are we alone in this -ED.) He`s either too shy to tell it or he`s scared of Ray. One of the world`s most unassuming and original guitar players. No prancing around like a demented spandex clad fairy ( eh! K.K ) for this guy. Had the knack of drifting in and out at will magically knowing when to express himself with a killer solo and when to arce around calm as you like in the background. Always there lurking around the edges of a song awaiting the right moment to blow you away with a quick burst of energy. Still knocking out decent albums. Nothing mind- blowing but always listenable. (latest effort is called 'Cinematix' ) Pops up now and again with impromptu guest spots. Our all time favourites being with the Blue Oyster Cult. Truly one of rocks most underrated geniuses Soon to appear in one of our favourite TV shows- the brilliant and insane 'The Simpson's.' S.P |
