The little village of Murton is to the west of the city, between Clyne Common and Bishopston..

On the village green we take a look at the old water pump ...

No longer in use.. it serves to remind us how fortunate we are to have water on tap.

On tap here, at the village pub, we have liquid refreshment of a stronger kind.

In front is the Wesleyan Methodist Church , built in 1896, and to our right the post office..

Around the corner under the trees, a large sign above the shop leaves us in in no doubt what is for sale. In my young days these establishments were always called chemists..

Almost opposite the pharmacy/chemist's is a pleasant open grassy area with a small bench alongside a boundary wall. My camera batteries need changing, so this is a good excuse to stop and sit awhile. .......

..... Just in front of us, a small daffodil banked stream gently flows into pipes under the roadway.

A little further down the road and the sign tells us we have arrived at the edge of the village and the end of our visit.
