VInstrumentation is part of Kyle Electronic Design Ltd, an electronic and real-time software design consultancy based in Glasgow, Scotland. We designed both the hardware and software for the VIPodS and VInterface systems. VIPodS were previously marketed under license by TTi Ltd as the "Virtual Instrument Pod System" (VIPS). The VInterface/VICL combination is also available as "Virtual Control Laboratory with CLIO interface" from LJ Group of Norwich.

We are now concentrating on evolving the VInstrumentation concept. If you have an application not covered by the standard product range, we would be pleased to look at it for you.

The Management Team

The company is run by Dr Alex B Gardiner and Mrs Sheila Gardiner

The Design Team

As well as running the company, all products have been designed and programmed by Alex and Sheila. With an initial degree in Electrical Engineering and a PhD in Control Engineering, Alex has specialised in the use of computers in measurement and display. In 1976, he designed the world's first paperless chart recorder, the Alron Visu-Trend 8. Since then, he has designed a number of bespoke systems before concentrating on the VInstrumentation range of products. More details are given in the History page
