The ComfoMeter can save you money and energy in a number of ways. The most obvious
is in setting the most economic comfortable working and living temperature. The history
record can be used to optimise heating timing settings and can show the effectiveness
of the your building’s insulation. The system can also be used to show the effectiveness
or otherwise of other energy saving strategies such as closing curtains at night
and on hot sunny days.
The artefact monitoring facility prevents erosion of value due to unsuitable store
conditions. More detailed examples can be seen in the User and uses section. Some
of the owners of valuable artefacts that should be monitored are shown in the panel
to the left.

Energy cost money and puts CO2 into the atmosphere. 20% of the country’s energy is used in heating homes and offices. You can reduce your energy usage and costs while still remaining comfortable by having an eco-wand ComfoMeter on your computer to monitor your comfort level and to advice on ways of saving energy.
Your Comfort Zone is where your body feels most comfortable and works most
effectively. The ComfoMeter measures the temperature and humidity of your workspace and shows the conditions relative to your Comfort Zone. Live comfortably using minimal energy by living and working on the edge of the Comfort Zone. Click on the thumbnails to see the full features of each display.
The ComfoMeter can be used in either Comfort or Artefact mode. The PRO version allows two external temperature probes to be added for further artefact monitoring. The original idea was that you could monitor the comfort of your computer as well as yourself but, as you can see, there are many other valuables that require monitoring. A setup dialogue box allows you to define the envelope for your type of
valuable. Each channel also has high and low alarms and rate of change alarms - essential for monitoring grand pianos and other mixed material valuables. All readings can be logged to disk or transmitted over the internet.
