Club Membership

The South Derbyshire Owners Club meets every Wednesday night at the White Heart, Aston on Trent

BSA Owners' Club The BSA Owners' Club was founded in 1958 and is dedicated to the preservation and use of all BSA motorcycles. We invite all owners of BSA motorcycles to become members.

Membership Pack New members receive a membership pack, which includes membership card, handbook, sticker and the latest copy of the club magazine. This initial membership pack may be sent surface mail to overseas members, however, we find that it is usually delivered within 2-3 weeks.

Monthly Magazine Our superb monthly magazine "The Star", contains a variety of items including technical articles, photographs, letters and anecdotes plus news affection owners of classic motorcycles. It also has a "for sale / wanted / swap" column in which club members can advertise for free.

Events A busy calendar of events gives you the chance to meet other BSA enthusiasts. An international rally is held in a different country each year as well as other events both in the UK and abroad. The club also holds an "Open Day" which is available for anyone interested in BSA motorcycles whether a club member or not.

Branches Currently the club has around 30 branches across the country plus a few "groups" of BSA members who meet regularly but who are not fully-fledged branches of the club. Branches provide a regular meeting point for club members and within each branch you will find a wealth of information and advice available to be shared with other members. Many branches have an extensive social calendar and usually participate in shows or biking events in their area.

Website The club website contains a wealth of information about BSA's which is updated regularly. The site also includes latest news of events, branches and international clubs; Links are also available to other BSA related sites. Find the website on http://www.bsaoc.demon.co.uk

Insurance Competitive rates are offered to BSAOC members on Classic Motorcycle Insurance.

Club Library Our librarian maintains what is probably the largest compilation in the world of BSA related material. This includes catalogues, brochures, manuals, books, parts lists and photographs. Much of this material is unavailable elsewhere and makes up a unique collection. The librarian is trying to make as much of this accessible to members as possible and is gradually transferring material to CD-ROMS, which are becoming available for sale to club members so that they can easily access information about their machine. Any proceeds go towards developing the club library

International Internationally the BSAOC has individual members across the globe and retains links with BSA Owners Clubs in may countries

Dating Service A machine dating service is available at a reduced price to club members to accurately date the manufacture of your BSA motorcycle. Also the Club can assist in reclaiming original registrations or in obtaining an age-related number from the DVLA who recognise the club's expertise in giving accurate date of manufacture. The machine dating service is also recognised by similar agencies

Technical Queries Technical Consultants offer advice on repair and restoration for all models of BSA motorcycles as well as welding and correct paint finishes, again this service is free to club members.
