The
MANFIELD family of Hemyock, Devon.
Samuel Manfield married Thomasin Manning at Hemyock, Devon, England in 1775.
They had a son Samuel born in 1798.
Samuel (born 1798) married Sarah Stamp in Hemyock in 1819 and had many
children.
He died when he fell of a hay cart in 1862.
One of the daughters of Samuel and Sarah Manfield was Elizabeth
(Betsy) born about 1835. She went into
service and in 1851 she was working in Creech St Michael, Somerset.
She was living in the same household as Samuel Finch who she married in
1852.
