Joining the Club

It is not necessary to have any previous shooting experience or equipment to join the club.

Rifles, jackets, scopes, gloves and mats are all available for use free of charge for as long as required.

Beginners will receive individual coaching until they can shoot correctly and safely. Experienced shooters are always available to offer further advice and coaching.

Not sure if it's for you? Come down to the club with a completed application form and you can try shooting free of charge for up to three visits with no obligation to join.

Membership Classes

Ordinary Aged between eighteen and sixty-five.

Senior Aged over sixty-five.

Honorary Life Equivalent to ordinary membership for life.

Junior Aged under eighteen.

Student In full time education.

Husband & Wife Previously full members in their own right.

Social Non shooting.

Probationary Ordinary, Senior, Junior or Student.

Group Members of specified clubs or associations accepted by the committee.

Application for Membership

Probationary Membership An applicant for shooting membership must normally serve a minimum probationary period as laid down by law.

Full Membership At the end of the probationary period, a member must apply for transfer to the appropriate class of membership.

Application forms are availabel at the club or they can be printed out from here by clicking on the links on the left. Completed forms should be handed in at the range or posted to the secretary with the appropriate fee.

Costs

The annual subscription for Ordinary and Probationary membership is currently £120. Concessionary fees with significant reductions are available for all other classes.

Fees are payable in advance on 1st October in each year. Subscriptions for new members are calculated at one-twelfth of the annual subscription for each full or part calendar month.

There is no joining fee and no range fee when visiting the club.
