Idlewild
You Held The World In Your Arms
Enrique Iglesias
Could I Have This Kiss Forever
Escape
Hero
Spanish born Enrique Iglesias scored a huge hit in 2001 and 2002 with
Hero. The song is a love-ballad but recent events have made the track into
something more, almost a tribute to those who responded to the attacks on the World
Trade Center, many of whom gave their lives when the towers collapsed. Iglesias
does not mind this re-interpretation if it helps people cope with their grief. The video
features Mickey Rourke and Jennifer Love Hewitt, and comes from Enrique's latest
album Escape. Hero was also performed as part of the "America: A Tribute to Heroes" event.
Iio
Rapture
Based in New York Iio are
producer Markus Moser and singer Nadia who was born in Libya. They met in 2000
when Markus was keen to work on new projects having previously been involved with a "mediocre"
German girl band. The collaboration has come up with an album full of pop house tracks which they
promise have meaningful lyrics.
Natalie Imbruglia
That Day
Wrong Impression
Natalie Imbruglia returns with That Day and Wrong Impression. Having starred in the soap-opera Neighbours for two years
she later followed the same route that Kylie took into a successful music career. However rather
than mainstream pop Natalie has veered towards an indie style and by co-writing much of her
material has gained much respect in the industry. That Day was co-written and produced by
Patrick Leonard who also worked for many years with Madonna.

Incubus
Drive
Drive by Incubus
is partnered by a semi-animated video, mixing live shots of the band with drawings flowing from
lead singer Brandon Boyd's hands. Breakthrough album Make Yourself has spent over
eighty weeks in the US album chart (although never higher than no 47). The next album, Morning View, should be available in the autumn and will cover the same wide spectrum of
genres of their previous efforts. The band toured in summer 2001 with Moby, Nelly
Furtado and Outkast.
Iron Maiden
Run To The Hills
Wicker Man
Iron Maiden have recently regrouped, and with heavy metal making a bit of a comeback
in the States, it's no surprise to see them back in the charts with The Wicker Man.
The track came in a limited edition picture CD which reminds
me to keep an eye out for their early singles which often came in coloured vinyl with their Thatcheresque
"maiden" on the front. These are becoming prized collector's items. So if your Dad has some
stacked in the garage... Iron Maiden also have received a welcome boost by being immortalised in
the Wheatus hit Teenage Dirtbag...
