Not everyone can provoke their own mother to file a lawsuit against them for damaging her reputation, but
Eminem achieved just that with the lyrics from his second album The Slim Shady Lp. He also
insulted nearly everyone on the planet with his quick-fire wit and earned himself a grammy for
doing so. His latest album, The Marshall Mathers Lp is not so funny, much darker, perhaps
just as irresponsible but with Eminem no less honest with his opinions. Dr Dre takes more of a
production backseat and lets Eminem, FBT and 45 King get on with the music.
Explicit, still angry but still on top... The album climbs to no 1 for the first time on June 25th
and again on July 9th. Interest in the new album also propelled The Slim Shady Lp to a
highest ever peak of 10 on July 30th.
