ROSSVALE 1994 SQUAD

Head Coach: Ian Grey   Email Ian

Due to commitments, unfortunately Stevie Gallacher has had to step back from running this team, though he will continue to help on a Sunday by warming up Scott Johnstone the keeper.

The team has been taken over by myself after having to come out of retirement, and being able to put some of the Clubs duties on my two esteemed colleagues Frank Hepburn and Stevie Oliffe.

Having looked out my boots, and tried to remind myself of the training routines, I have enjoyed getting back out onto the training field, and having to think about the game again. What has helped is the fantastic back up I have in Michael Devlin, John Templeman, and the Chancellor himself, Jim Brown.

A decision was made and we are off to the sunnier climate of North Wales at the beginning of May to participate in a tournament. We are to be based at the Pontins holiday camp at Prestatyn. If this proves to be a success, then Amsterdam will be the next trip on the agenda, the following Easter.

Due to the poor weather, there is a major build up in games looming and that is not good for mounting a reasonable challenge in all competitions, however having now worked with the boys for a couple of weeks now, I believe that they will give us everything until the end of the season and have a right good go.

We have also lost another player, to the senior ranks, who we are sad to lose, but it was important for him to take on a new challenge at a higher level. This will allow him to develop into a top quality player that we are sure that he will. Ryan McSherry has signed with Hibernian, who I know rate him highly. We are delighted for him and wish him every success.

Amsterdam Easter 2008

A trip to Amsterdam is being organised for Easter next year to play our friends at AFC Amsterdam, we are looking at flying out on the Thursday night and returning on the Monday. If possible we will try and take in an Ajax game when we are over. AFC Club Website - www.afc-amsterdam.nl/
