2000 Squad The 2000 squad have entered two teams into the East Dunbartonshire Soccer Sevens League with matches played on Saturday mornings between 0930 and 1230. Training is on Thursday nights with each session lasting an hour and a half. For the purpose of the league we have named the two teams Rossvale Milan and Rossvale Madrid however from a coaching point of view we will be training and playing as one team regardless of which team the player is selected to play for. At training the players have been working on basic skills such as dribbling, passing and moving. Over the next couple of months the focus at training and during matches will be on developing the player’s awareness of positional play and passing. The coaches are Gary McLeod, Michael Devlin, Gordon Smart, Gary Brown, Alan Scott, Paul Gallagher and Kenny McCallum. The coaches all went through the SFA Early Touches Course in December 2006 and more recently Coaching Youth Footballers in July 2007 which has helped prepare both the coaches and the players for the challenges of Soccer Sevens in the teams first season.
