Goalkeeping Training Academy

Let me introduce myself Jamie Kelly, the goalkeeping academy started 6th March 07 with an excellent turnout so far with virtually every age group in the club being represented from U7's to U19's. All the goalies are coming along well and in the games I have watched them play in they have been putting what they learn in to good use. We have started a goalie of the month award with Calum Irvine from the U11's winning the first award in March. If any coaches or parents wish to discuss anything with myself then please contact me at email

2002 Age Group

Due to the high standard of the coaches for our 2000’s and 2001’s, the decision has been taken to bring in the 2002 age group earlier than normal, and start them coaching by the middle/end of March. We already have someone in place to start it up and want to get it going as soon as possible. If you are interested in finding out more about this then e-mail me, Ian Grey, through the Club website.

Child Protection Officer

The Club has a Child Protection Officer called Sandra Hepburn, and she can be contacted on 01360-620236. Sandra is very capable in dealing with any issues that arise, and please be aware any discussions will be in confidence. If you have any concerns about any issues connecting the Club, you should contact Sandra straight away, as anything left any length of time may develop when it could be dealt with quickly and resolved easily. Please be aware, Sandra will not get involved with regards to team selection issues, unless it is an issue of bullying of victimization.

Soccer Academy

The coaches for this age group are all enhanced disclosure checked by East Dunbartonshire council and all have the appropriate SFA qualifications for this age group. Just before the schools stopped for the summer holidays, Rossvale Boys Club welcomed its latest group of players to the soccer academy. For 4 weeks they were coached various new skills, passing, shooting, heading, dribbling and most importantly fun games. It was great to see the excellent enthusiasm on show and we look forward to having them back after the summer holidays.

Please contact us if you would like to join our highly successful soccer academy. mail@rossvalebc.co.uk

Club Sponsor

We are currently looking for a Club Sponsor, to help us buy a new set of strips for each team. To sponsor the Club we would be looking for between £2-2500. This would allow us to the Lottery and apply to Sports match, and they would put up the same amount of money to and this would give us the capital of between £4000-5000 to go and buy the strips. If you know of anyone who is interested please get in touch with me Ian Grey on 586-1019.

Annoy your Coach

We are asking every boy in Rossvale to annoy his coach. If your team/age group is not mentioned on the website, tell your coach to put something up there. Would you like to get your name mentioned on the Club website, if you do then you will have to tell your coach he needs to put something in .

We will also take items from players if they want to write something about their team. Please remember we will only do this if it is not insulting to another Club or person. mailto:mail@rossvalebc.co.uk
