What we do

The Michael Birt Consultancy

• We are a ecological consultancy, research and environmental agency undertaking long and short-term mammal population studies. Assess habitats for what wildlife are present and advise on what long and short term measures would be needed to protect and keep the wildlife in the area assessed.
•  We undertake bat surveys e.g. Annual Colony surveys with the  help of volunteers.
• Submit applications for DEFRA Licenses
• Run guided walks where you can see and hear wild bats
• Carry out surveys of bat and mammal distribution, roosts, hibernacula and feeding areas
• Offers advice and information to householders sharing their property with bats
• Gives  talks to other organizations about mammal and bat conservation
