About me
I have lived in Dunstable since 1978, have been married now for thirty five years, and provide driving instruction in and around the above areas.  Whilst the main aim of driving lessons is to pass the driving test, I firmly believe that learning to drive safely, with due consideration for other road users, is of equal importance.  In today’s climate, learning to drive well and safely is no easy feat, but one that I am committed to help you achieve.  I think you will find me helpful, caring and patient, and I am willing to put in as much effort as necessary to help you achieve your goal of a full driving licence. I am a friendly, easy to get on with type of person, and have helped many very nervous pupils become good drivers.
If you want to have a friendly chat to see if we’re going to get along, you can find my contact details by clicking the button on the left.  Alternatively, if you would like to meet me face to face, I am quite happy to call on you in a short home visit, more information on this can be found under Courses and Lessons.
I am self employed and work on a franchise basis, with LDC to provide their first rate training system to all learner drivers at varying levels of proficiency.  I sincerely believe that the system offers extremely good value for money, one of my main reasons for joining them, as the pupils can spend less time listening to explanations and more time actually driving, and due to the unique reference materials, the pupil can actually monitor their own progress as well.
My car
My current training vehicle is a manual transmission  Hyundai I20 1.4 Diesel 5 door Comfort.  It is fitted with He-Man dual controls and has air conditioning control for the warmer summer months.  The door mirrors are electrical operated, which provides easier adjustment to suit different pupils, and both the steering wheel and front drivers seat are manually adjustable in height to suit all types of pupil sizes, (I’m actually 6’2” (1.88m) tall and some of my pupils have been about 5 foot nothing).  I find this car is an ideal size for learner drivers, with good all round vision, excellent gear selection, and also good driving performance.
