Songs from the Concrete Sofa - Mat Dawson Experience
Probably the worst album of all time, it's a daring challenge
to listen to all 1hour2mins in one go. In it's crapness, there
finds humour.
History
The idea came from a practical joke. I decided to sling in
some joke tracks for his birthday, saying they were Evanescence.
Those tracks became 'Happy Birthday Dave' and 'Hal's
greatest hits'. Poor old Dave believed they were really Evanescence
tracks. After speaking with Andy, the idea to make an albums
worth was thought of, but not done. Weeks later, I meet Stu at
the concrete sofa. We joke of 'Mat & chopper, music from
the concrete sofa'. That's when I was inspired to pick up my
previous album idea and get back to work. A few weeks later on,
it's finished. Originally titled 'Pwn3d' the concrete sofa
seemed too much of an image to turn down. After an outing to the
sofa (with photos taken by Ollie, one or two by Stu and a couple
by me) the album cover was produced, documenting the existence
of the legendary sofa.

Ollie & Andy for the support.
Stu for the inspiration of making an entire album, and for
being dumb enough to come down and play on it. Also thanks for
the jammie dodgers.
Ollie again for printing all the covers when my printer
busted. Ollie again for taking the cover photo.
Dave, for not minding the jokes and praises throughout the
album and being a good sport about it.
