2009 - 2010

This list has been compiled to provide as much information as possible regarding Club Fixtures to September 2010. Considering that Saturdays are predominantly the Clubs main shoot days at the Club Range, dates below show special events only, i.e. Competitions and MoD range bookings. The Club Range will be operational at least every Saturday and on some Wednesday's. The range is not used on a regular basis on Sundays or other weekdays – check before attending. Members wishing to shoot at the Club Range on Sundays or weekdays should make contact with other Members via the ‘Members Directory’ to ensure that, for safety reasons, there will be at least two persons present, one must be a Full Member.   

Please Note 1: Andrew G. (farm) must be notified at least the day before you intend to use the Club Range on a normal weekday, excluding National Holidays, i.e. Bank Holidays.  Except Saturday's, the Red Gate alongside the main road, must be kept locked closed.

Please Note 2: Use of MoD ranges. – * Bookings are subject to sufficient demand from Members and range availability.  If there is insufficient support for the booking, the fixture will be cancelled. In addition, the MoD  may cancel a booking at very short notice. You are advised to telephone the Secretary the day before attending to confirm the booking. If you have confirmed your attendance to either an MoD or Bisley booking and have to drop out, you may be liable for your 'contribution' to range fees. Following a redefined ruling by the MoD (May 2007), Slug and .17HMR ammunition is not allowed on Sigma or STANTA ranges. The use of tracer ammunition will be subject to weather conditions on the day. Please also note that the MoD impose a minimum age limit for attendees of 18 on their ranges.

There is a maximum Muzzle Energy restriction of 4,500 Joules on the Archers Range. Check out your ammunition here Muzzle Energy

A 'Certificate of Competence' for specific types of firearm will be required and carried, for all users of MoD ranges, including Bisley from January 1st 2009.
