Scottish Clubs in Europe 1955-2001

Scottish Clubs have produced many great performances in
European competition since 1955. Hibernian reached the
Semi-Finals in the very first European Cup. Celtic became
the first British club to win the European Cup in 1967.
Rangers won the Cup Winners Cup in 1972. Aberdeen won
the Cup Winners Cup in 1983.

The 1960s was definitely our most successful time in Europe:
Dundee, Kilmarnock, Hibernian and Dunfermline all reached the
Semi-Finals of one of the major competitions, Rangers reached
3 Cup Winners	Cup Finals, Celtic won the European Cup in 1967
and were beaten finalists in 1970.
