Protectors

There are several designs for protecting your dogs from injury in exercise, training or competition.  Made with Velcro strapping, soft leather and acrylic sheepskin to protect your pets at play. 

Below are the various designs available, pad protectors, wrist protectors, hock protectors and special hock protectors.

Pad Protectors

 

Designed to prevent damage to the stopper pads from contact with jumps, flyball boxes or contact points. 
One size fits most medium/large breeds, however please measure around the stop pad for smaller or much larger breeds.

 

Wrist Protectors

WITH or WITHOUT Support

 

WITH - Originally designed to prevent tendon damage caused by landing heavily after jumping, particularly in the case of flyball where there are fast repeated hurdles.  There is hidden support from plastic boning to support the wrist without hindering movement.

I have my own Vets approval but recommend consulting your own Vet before use.  Money back if Vet approval refused (must be unused).

 

Purchased by a Vet to help with collapsed carpel syndrome, her comments were: 
“They are fantastic, he is a new dog, enjoying his walks and playing with his ball again.”

 

 

WITHOUT - Adapted from the above can be used for protection of wrists from knocks on those all important contact points, jumps or on the flyball box.

 

I have regular sized protectors made up in stock, however if your dog requires larger sizes they will have to be made individually and this will be reflected in the price.  Please see measurements page before completing the query form.

Hock Protectors

Designed specifically for one customer, now available for you.  The aim was to protect her dog from injury whilst playing and running, where he had previously injured himself on tree roots.
 
"I'm just grateful to find a solution to the problem before he does more damage!"

A simple wrap made in a similar way to the wrist protectors protects your dogs back legs (hock area) from injury.  Can be used for protecting the back legs from knocks and grazes in everyday play as well as on those all important contact points, jumps or the flyball box.

Special Hock Protectors

Adapted from the original design to help protect the back of the joint, ideal for those dogs who use their back legs to break and turn.
