Luton's top performer at the English Schools this year was Daniel Clorley in the Junior Boys 1500m. Daniel continued his excellent recent form to gain a silver medal behind Bedford athlete Ryan Parker, in 4m 10.46s. Daniel has had an excellent season, in which he has won the Southern AAA's 1500m and re-written the club middle distance records for his age group.

Our Intermediate Boys trio all performed well, Nic Choudhury knocking almost a second off his personal best in coming 4th in a very close race behind runaway winner Chris Clarke of Milton Keynes. Perry Howarth chose to run the steeplechase instead of the 300m, and came a creditable 5th in only his 2nd competitive race at the distance. Nat Quigley, possibly one of Luton's most improved youngsters this year, more than fulfilled expectations by running under 2 minutes for the first time.

Our only female athlete Sarah Simpson, unfortunately got left at the start, ran bravely, but got eliminated in the heats, but she has another year at this age group to fulfill her undoubted potential.
