Stan Owen from Nene Valley won his second title for 2007, once again beating David Reed, and winning another
Peter Andrews Memorial Medal       Achieving and outstanding 88% on the W.A.V.A. Percentages Tables
also over 80 %. It should not be long now before we have two runners in the same race to win a memorial medal.
We came close this time, Ann Firbank from Riverside Runners based in St.Neots, came very close with 84.9% when
  winning the Women's title.
Other who scored over 80 % on the World Assoc of Veteran Athletics Tables were David Reed, Terry Fone from Eye
Community Runners, and Roger Griffin a member of the Local University H & H Club.
In the Team Races Ryston Runners from Downham Market won the womens race. In the Men's Race
Ely Runners were first with 48 points, Second Ryston Runners with 50, and C&CAC third with 53 points

The entry was much improved on 2006, thanks to much more suitable weather, it remained dry throughout the race,
but there was a stiff southwesterly breeze at times.

A number of newcomers to the race were surprised at hills between two and four KM. But it always looks worse than
what it really is, as you look down into the dip and then up again. Which appears to add to the climb. Even so
Madingley Hill is the highest point looking East between the highest point the course reaches and the Baltic Sea.

Not all our courses are as flat as the Five Mile at Reach or the Relay Course.
