Paul plays a variety of percussion instruments. In live performances he plays either 'cajon' (based upon an early Peruvian boxed instrument) or small kit.
Inherently paranoid about anyone who knows more about the 'cajon' than himself, Paul can regularly be seen slipping in and out of the crowd at gigs for another pint of his nerve-steadying, iron-fortified black booze.
His percussive contribution to Alistair' music is impressive and served up with a natural groove that effortlessly underpins the complexity of the band's arrangement. Together with Nigel Davies-Patrick they form what Alistair has called;
"...a musical backline so melodically and rhythmically perfect that any monkey could play over the top of it and sound like a God.They're a bit good."
