About Me

I am an active Radio Amateur, mainly on VHF and UHF. I run an APRS station from my home location and a "tracker" in my car (G4IQI-9). I also operate on all bands between 80m and 70cm.

I became interested in APRS in May 2001 after reading an article in Radcom and then finding out that two local amateurs, Denis G4KWT and Roger G7RUH, were already experimenting with APRS for Raynet use. They both provided me with a wealth of experience and much of what you find in this site is due to their support.

I am employed in the telecommunications industry and have an interest in most forms of motor sport, particularly rallying. I am also actively involved with local wildlife protection. You may want to have a look at the Binfield Badger Group web site.

I would appreciate feedback on this site and I am always interested in ideas to improve its usefulness.  Please email me at the address on the contact details page.
