| Why use S-Plan to design slot track circuits? |
| Slot racing track never has been (and probably never will be)
particularly easy to connect together so designing a circuit layout by
trial and error on your hands and knees can be a very painstaking process,
particularly if you need to modify your design. What about the age old
challenge of trying to use up all of your track pieces or trying to get
as much running length as possible within a confined space. Then there's
the biggest headache of all - getting the ends to meet!
All, yes all, of these tasks can be accomplished quickly
and easily when you design your slot track layout on your computer screen
using S-Plan. If you are computer literate enough to surf the Internet then
you will have no problems using S-Plan. It has a simple and intuitive user
interface with extensive on line help screens. |
| What can S-Plan do? |
| First and foremost it enables you to enter and edit slot track
very much like you would letters and words in a word processor. Editing
operations include cut and paste, copy and overwrite along with the ability
to move and rotate track sections. The zoom and anchor buttons allow any
part of the circuit to be displayed in detail or alternatively view the circuit
in it's entirety.
Useful features include a track used list, a track inventory list, a display of the running length of each lane and a tool to measure the distance between two points. As well as entering circuit layouts you can also enter the outline of a room and it's contents to determine how to orientate a layout to fit in the space available or whether it will fit at all! Extensive printing facilities include printouts of circuit and room plans, track used lists and track inventory lists. To see what S-Plan Designer actually looks like take a peek at the
