Lesson Objectives

Spreadsheets are the second most widely used program, after Word Processing. They are so popular because of there flexibility in handling numbers and calculating information. In this lesson you will be taught the Key skills relating to Spreadsheets so that you can use these skills in both you exam and your assignment.

Spreadsheet - Key Skills

The Key Skills that you will review are:

  • Spreadsheet Navigation
  • Cell Formats (Number, date, Currency etc)
  • General formatting - text colour, font, size, background colour, alignment
  • Column and Row Sizes
  • Copying/ pasting / moving information
  • Sorting information in a spreadsheet
  • Simple formula (arithmetic operators)
  • Simple functions (sum, min, max, average)
  • Graphs
