In order
to pass the ICT Key Skills Qualification you have to
- Pass
a Test
- Produce
a Portfolio of evidence that shows the skills that you have
- To pass
the Key Skills Qualification in Information Technology you must pass
both an internal assessment and an external assessment (which is set
and marked externally). The internal assessment is based on a portfolio
of evidence you have collected from your day-to-day work, studies
or other activities.
The questions
you will get in the test and the evidence that you have to produce depends
on the Key Skill Level you are aiming for. You will be doing similar
types of work regardless of the Level you are aiming for. This means
that
- You
will undertake a short period of Skill teaching
- You
will then start your first Assignment that will produce evidence for
your portfolio
- During
the lessons when you are doing your assignment you will also be taught
skills relevant to the work that you are doing in the assignment,
- You
will then move on to the next assignment
- You
will have to do all of this in 24 hours of lesson time or less. Working
on tasks at other times will be vital to completing the course and
the work at home or in your space time will produce evidence for you
portfolio. So you don't have much time and need to really focus on
what you are doing and set yourself clear goals and stick to them
